For the zodiac signs with high expectations, this trait has to do with astrology, which influences their horoscope. But the problem with having such high expectations is that you can get disappointed, frustrated, and unhappy when it seems as if those expectations aren’t being met.
1. VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
No one is pickier or has higher expectations and standards than Virgo. They manage to always come through for people, so why can’t they deliver for Virgo? Virgos do their homework, so they know what they’re talking about.
If they ask someone to do something for them, you can bet they have a crystal picture in their heads of how it should be done. It almost doesn’t matter how often Virgo’s expectations are met, they’re always slightly disappointed. If you did enough, then maybe you should have done more. Virgos are fussy and can get lost in the tiniest details — if it’s not perfect, then it’s a failure.
2. GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Geminis have great expectations, but there’s a part of them that is always ready to be let down. They can be cynical so they’re almost more surprised when something is carried out the way they wanted than when it isn’t.
When it comes to romantic partnerships, Geminis have an extra-long list of deal-breakers, and they’re very non-negotiable about them. They’re smart, they know that when their standards are too high, but they make it less likely that they’ll be able to find someone. If Gemini can get past their commitment issues and keep their expectations low, they would be happier.
3. LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Leos are the best and they want the best. They want the people they trust to come through for them in spectacular ways. When you’re as charismatic and dazzling as a Leo, you expect to be treated like the royal you are, and when you don’t get that, you can feel defeated.
It isn’t as if Leo’s friends and family don’t warn them that their expectations of others are too high — they do, but Leo tends to ignore them and hope that their incredibly high expectations will be met.
4. LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
Libras have a very romantic view of things, so when their relationships don’t measure up to the ones Libra sees in movies or TV, they get very discouraged. If they didn’t base their expectations on fictional situations and characters, they’d be better off.
But they feel that they deserve that fairytale romance and if they don’t put their all into hoping for it, they’ve done themselves a disservice. Libras often feel as if the relationships they have aren’t good enough. A strong dose of reality might help Libra to have more manageable expectations.
5. TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
Taurus want to believe that people will do what they say they’re going to do, but they just can’t bring themselves to be that hopeful. Taurus will set up a number of tests/obstacles for people so they can prove they’re worthy of having the Taurus individual in their life.
It’s as if Taurus want those in their life to better than mere mortals. Taurus are patient and they don’t give up hope that their expectations, as high as they are, will be met.
6. CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
Capricorns want people to be as diligent, trustworthy, and conscientious as they are, so it’s not surprising that they constantly feel let down when people don’t deliver. If a Capricorn makes a promise, they will do everything in their power to keep it, but other people don’t seem to make keeping their word a high priority.
Capricorns can be a little on the pessimistic side, which is a good mix with high expectations as they’re almost always setting themselves up for disappointment and disillusionment
