Your baby’s name should have a special meaning
A lot of work goes into picking a baby’s name. When my parents found out they were having me, my mom wanted to name me after her brother, and my dad wanted to name me Miami. Luckily, they just took the easy route and named me Josephine, after my mother.
Some people want their baby’s name to be unique and stand out, where others want their child’s name to be something that makes a statement.
Now that I have nieces and nephews, I’ve been able to witness first hand how hard it can be to choose a name for your child. I honestly have no idea how my mom did it four times and didn’t just start randomly pulling names from a hat.
However, if she would have looked toward my due date, or natal horoscope, she could have given me a name that had some star power, and not the celebrity kind.
Naming your children based on their due date or predicted astrology month or horoscope sign is a wonderful idea. It will give your child an extra boost when it comes to being unique and showing off their personality.
Linking your child’s life to the cosmos via their zodiac sign is also just a pretty wonderful thought and dedication. Giving your Leo a name that matches their positive and active lifestyle is a sweet touch and a great way for them to start their life.
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
The bold and confident Aries should have a strong, powerful name. Names like Bernard, meaning brave as a bear, and Brianna, someone who is fearless, are sure to be accurate meanings for your strong little one.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
The patient and practical Taurus can go with Kesia, meaning earth-bound and centered. It’s a boy, the baby can be named Ethan, which beans strong-willed, for those stubborn little things.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Dexter, meaning skillful, will go perfectly with your little one’s wit and ambition. So would Sophia, meaning wisdom, or Sage, meaning wisdom and health.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
your baby might be a little emotional or sensitive, so Adele, meaning kind and soft, is a wonderful option. Henry means home ruler, and would match your baby’s protective habits over you and your family.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
Raina, which means queen, or Rex, which means king, are perfect names for your courageous and loyal little bundle of happiness. Names that mean Lion, like Arie, Arie, Lionel and Leya, are also perfect matches.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
The thoughtful and considerate Virgo deserve a name that means the same thing. Serena means tranquil and serene, while Frederick means peaceful ruler.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
Libras are the social butterfly of the zodiac word. Names with meanings tied to being regal and brilliant, such as Basil and Naor, will set you baby on a path of brilliance before they can even walk.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
Someone who is as powerful and charismatic as a Scorpio needs a name that matches that. Naming your baby girl Astrid, which means divine strength or beauty will lead to her developing those traits even more strongly than usual. Fergus, meaning strong man of vigor, is perfect for your strong little boy.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
A Sag loves their freedom, which might become a problem in the teenage years. Before that, fit your child with a name like Apollo, who was the Greek god of music and truth, or Blythe, which means happy, free spirit. If you were looking for a unisex option, Charlie means wanderer.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
I for one, like most Caps, are a mic of loyal and ambitious, with a little hint of stubborn. Truman would be wonderful for your determined little one, and so would Nicole, which means people of victory.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
Aquarians are unique individuals, they deserve more than a cookie cutter baby name. Angus, which literally translates to unique, or Veronica which means truth and purity, are both options that will fit your baby’s personality from day one.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
The sensitive and empathic Pisces are always looking for the best in any situation and in others. Names like Pax, which means peaceful, and Beatrice, which translates to she who brings happiness, are wonderful options.
